Acceleration sensors for measurement and control technology

Acceleration sensors

We supply acceleration sensors for the most important industrial applications and industries.

The uni-axial and tri-axial acceleration sensors work daily in high-precision devices to measure vibration, shock pulse, speed, distance and inclination. With the help of DC response silicon MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) and piezoelectric film / ceramic techniques, we deliver high quality products. The acceleration sensors are known for their powerful and stable silicon chips.

Areas of application:

Alarm, crash test, transport monitoring, laboratory applications, medical technology, vibration monitoring of high-quality machines and devices, robotic, vibration analysis, artificial gyros, and much more

Silicon Design Chips

We supply acceleration sensors from single-axis sensor elements in SMD design to three-axis sensors with and without integrated amplifier electronics .

In addition, we assemble the sensors customer-specifically with housing, cable and connector.

Operating principles:

Piezoresistive: monolithic made of silicon (bridge) from frequency "zero" to approx. 2000Hz.

Capacitive: for a working frequency from "zero" to approx. 2500Hz.

Applications:

Alarm, crash test, transport monitoring, vibration monitoring of high-quality machines and parts, robotic, vibration analysis, artificial gyros, and much more

Silicon Design 1-axis

Acceleration sensors

Description model 2210

The model 2210 acceleration sensor module combines an integrated model 1521 with low-resistance buffering for acceleration measurements in commercial and industrial plants. The anodized aluminum housing is sealed with epoxy resin and can be easily mounted using two M4 (or M3) screws. It is relatively insensitive to temperature fluctuations and gradients.

Description model 2240

The Model 2240 is a hermetically sealed version of the Model 2220. This robust module combines an integrated SDI low-noise acceleration measurement and a low-resistance buffering for acceleration measurements in trade and industry.

Measuring ranges model 2210 and model 2240: +/- 2 g ... +/- 400 g

Silicon Design 3-axis

Acceleration sensors

Description model 2466

The Model 2466 is a three-axis version of the popular Model 2266 (1-axis).

This acceleration sensor is located in a robust housing, for measuring accelerations in commercial and industrial plants. Its anodized aluminum housing is sealed with epoxy resin and is easy to assemble using two M8 (or M4) screws. It is relatively insensitive to temperature fluctuations and gradients.

Description model 2480

The Model 2480 is a hermetically sealed version of the Model 2470. This robust module combines three integrated SDI low-noise acceleration sensors with low-resistance buffering for measurement acceleration. The titanium case is sealed with a laser welding process and easy to mount using two M4 (or M3) screws.

Measuring ranges model 2466: +/- 2 g ... +/- 400 g

Measuring ranges model 2480: +/- 2 g ... +/- 200 g

Tests according to DIN EN 60751 or IEC 60751

Tests of platinum resistance thermometers and other sensors according to IEC 60751 or DIN EN 60751

Insulation test at room temperature

The insulation resistance between the valve and each measuring circuit must be measured with a test voltage of at least 100 V DC. The insulation resistance must not be less than 100 MΩ.

High voltage test

A test voltage of 500 V AC must be applied between the armature of the sensor and each measuring circuit. No short circuit may occur within the test time (min. 60 s). If the thermometer passes this test without a short circuit, the measurement is passed.

forte: Hi-speed Railway Accelerometer Supply:-

The transportation system lies at the backbone of the modern world, with the railway system being its most crucial component. As such, progress in this field has determined more and more high-tech sensors to be incorporated into trains and the infrastructure of the railways in order to ensure a proper evolution of this means of transportation. Not only do these sensors monitor the status of the trains and tracks, guide and control the train, facilitate repair planning and reduce maintenance costs, but they are also meant at improving aspects relating to passenger safety and comfort. Accelerometers represent a large part of these sensors and they are used to monitor several types of mechanical motions such as inertial force (acceleration), tilt (inclination), vibration and shock. We stock and distribute MEMS based capacitive sensors, with attractive characteristics of size, power, reliability, long-term bias repeatability, signal to noise ratio and robustness. By combining integrated circuit processing with specific MEMS processes, we produce microscopic mechanical structures fit for today’s evolving field of railway transportation.
